HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.
What are you planning for this Memorial Day? Boating, picnics, BBQ, fishing, golf, biking? It's the unofficial start to summer and most of us look to get outdoors for activities. There are also a number of events like the "Celebration at the Station" here in Kansas City. I have attached a link to the Kansas City activities provided by KC Parent Guide --http://www.kcparent.com/
We are going to do some fly fishing. We also are looking to take in some of the music at the festivals. I will be cooking out all weekend, some smoked ribs, kabobs, smoked trout or salmon, chicken and of course brats and burgers.
Before the weekend gets a started I want to ask everyone to please take a moment to remember all of our military members past and present. My dad was a WWII vet and my older brother a Vietnam vet who has served his entire life. Thank you all!
Also, please take a little extra time to get prepared for your activities... Boating for the first time this season? Plugs in? life jackets? fire extinguisher? Trailer wheel bearings re-packed? We have already had some terrible boating accidents here in the region. Just last week 3 young people died in an accident on the Lake of the Ozarks.
BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!
