Here are something's you can you do to minimize the potential for damage?

    1) Secure your home:

                b)  Don't broadcast on social media when and where you are going.
                c)  Don't leave voice mail messages about being gone.
                d)  Make your home look occupied.
                                1) Have the lawn mowed
                                2) Hold your mail and papers
                                3) Use timers on interior and exterior lighting

       2) Steps to take to avert potential disasters on the inside:
                 a) Shut off main water line and drain the lines.
